- Authentication & registry

Provenance.

How to verify that a Woven Origin piece is genuine - and how the registry follows it for life.

- The registry

Six characters, on the inner label.

Every Woven Origin piece carries a six-character registry number, hand-stamped on the inner label of garments and engraved on the interior of jewelry and hardware. This number is held in the maison archive against the name of the first owner, the date of first purchase, and the master craftsman who finished the piece.

The registry transfers with the piece. If you are a subsequent owner, write to [email protected] with the registry number and we will update the archive in your name.

I.

Inner label stitch

Hand-stitched, never woven by machine. The thread is two-ply silk, in champagne tone.

II.

Hardware stamp

The WO mark is hand-struck on solid brass and 18K gold - never laser-engraved or moulded.

III.

Edge paint

Leather edges are beeswax-painted six times by hand. The colour is matte, never glossy.

IV.

Registry document

Each delivery includes a hand-numbered registry document on Florentine cotton paper.
